Tchozinhos(as) vocês já ouviram a expressão “tão de arte” ? Já notaram que isso está sempre relacionado a algo ruim? Por que isso será?

Guys, did you know that we Brazilian relate bad actions or illegal stuff to arts?

The expression is “doing art”. For example, the mother says: I need to call back home to check how things are going. I think the are doing some sort of art”.   Therefore, wonder why museums, paintings and other artistic expressions don’t go yet beyond our boarders. The government is trying to invest more and more on our cultural development, but the culture that predominates, starting from our language is something hard to chance especially when it is deeply rooted even in our language.

I hope that this blog can open up a little bit some people’s mind specially the new students who will be traveling abroad in the future and will be in charge of understanding and creating arts artefacts. Perhaps this will helps us to chance this assumption that arts is bad and keep buy (without selling) cultural products.

Infelizmente em Fraiburgo e em 150% do restante do Brasil a arte é encarada como algo pejorativo, ruim e sem valor. A arte é um produto da fantasia, das ideias, emoções e das visões de mundo das pessoas e não está separada do processo de  geração de riquezas. Muito pelo contrário, a arte está na base (início do processo, a fagulha) de todas as mudanças macro econômicas que acontecem em qualquer região do mundo ao longo dos séculos.  Continue reading →
