The re-signification process

This picture does not only show a marvellous view of the just married young couple Eduardo e Paola Ribeiro in Fraiburgo, but it also portrays with excellence one of the most important development process – at least from my view – that a given society needs to evolve and prosper. The process is the re-signification of things. So what is it and how it works?

Well, that is a too big topic for just a single post, but to get bottom line, this is brand creation process, which involves a deep imaginary and artistic view on things with the objective of creating intangible values. These values can be added from various means such as images, stories, heroes, games, other stuff that literally occupies people’s minds that later on will serve as the base real decisions. The most important principle of symbolic value creation is the existence a consensus.

So what this couple did was to identify a spot in the city that none has ever imagine or if imagined they never took the action to do it in the same way. After this picture, the same place will never have the same meaning, so it becomes more special, more people will think about it, the region will be more respected and valued. No wonder that the central lake will continue being the most prestigious area in the city and consequently the more expensive one, why? Because other places do not bring in consensus the same meaning as it does. But, who creates this values? The answer is simple, the people and their talents put in action. Having an idea and not acting to realized is the same of multiplying 1000 times 0 the result is zero. The bad news is that, on average less than 2% of the population is capable of doing so, but if we don’t foster this behavior it goes lower and lower.

The hint is, if you have an idea, show it and see if it has adherence and go after it. Thanks and best wishes to the couple that created this amazing event. Lá no Frai blog, will keep always mining gold out of the human experience in this special region of the world.

Do Facebook para o mundo / From Facebook to the world

Since Facebook is a closed-world-minded tool, all information about Fraiburgo will be firs-hand delivered here at www.lanofrai.com.br. Yeap, in this way, information and knowledge can flow freely as the information wind desires. Also, when possible, we will bring things from facebook to here. Below is a beautiful picture taken by Fernando Varela some time ago.

Lago das Araucárias por Fernando Varela

Uma das fotos mais bonitas de Fraiburgo / One of the most beautiful pictures of Fraiburgo

Founded on the 31st july of 1981, the Renar Hotel – a joint venture of the Frey and Ziolkowski families – initially offered 40 rooms. This venture was the dream of René Frey, who firmly believed that this hotel would be pivotal for developing the turistic potential of Fraiburgo, bringing sustainable businesses, employment to its citizens, and expending the city’s economic horizons, which in turn presented beautiful landscapes of apple plantations. At this time Fraiburgo was already the land of apples and there was still plenty of potential to be explored in other areas related to the apple s’ production life cycle. The building is located in an area of 140.000 square meters, facing the Araucarias’ Lake. Its architecture is inspired on the alpine-Germanic style.

Desenhando o Frai…/Drawing Fraiburgo…

Ladies and Gentiment, here is simplistic view of our “Castelinho”, which means “The Little Castle”. This is one of the most important and most beautiful building we have got. Its architecture is French built with local materials, which makes it a real French-Tchozino style. The responsible for this was Mr. Roger Biau, who is considered the father of the Fraiburguese apples after introducing the techniques for producing this fruit in the city and making it nationally-wide known. While drawing it I had some interesting reflexions, which I describe just below.

– Youtube is one the greatest teachers allowing us learning things as needed like in this case. As Brazilians are not well educated for foreigner languages we lag behind in terms of absorbing new technologies.
