Fraiburgo’s Coat of arms

The coat of arms of Fraiburgo was elaborated in Paris, in 1964, by the artist Heráldico Robert Louis following the request of Albert Mahler, who was a French immigrant, entrepreneur and partner of the Frey Brothers organization, and who settled in Fraiburgo at the very beginning of its creation.  At the top, two crossed logs in which two axes symbolizing nailed timber extraction by brothers Frey, activity that gave rise to the County.  The bottom of the wheel bearing and the sword of St. Catherine, patroness of the state.  The flowers that flank the wheel represent the forests of Fraiburgo.  The fortification stands for the - the Burgo - protected or fortified town, surmounted by nine stars, signifying freedom - as they FREI means FREE in the German language..
